Learning from the street vender tries to work out the design strategies of the thousand anonymous street furniture builders. It does so by searching for patterns in function as well as in aesthetics to understand and to reestablish a new language out of it: Street furnitures are made by everybody using only the least needed. They can be built in a few moments, and by just using the local sources: Reuse trashed material. Integrate Ready-Made objects. Keep it lightweight. Elevate your product appearance. The outcome are thousands of individual furnitures. All different. All the same. They are cheap, spontaneous but also subtle and perfectly fitting their use.
